South Euclid Dog Park

711 South Belvoir Blvd, South Euclid, Ohio 44121

Since 2007, the City of South Euclid has provided an off-leash dog park for residents and visitors at Quarry Park North. Approximately 20,000 sqft in size, the South Euclid Dog Park is enclosed with chain link fencing and features designated areas for small and large dogs, agility/play equipment, and sitting areas for patrons. A water hydrant with communal drinking bowls is operational from Spring to Fall. Regularly serviced waste receptacles are located at the dog park, and complimentary waste removal products are provided as well. Unlike other community dog parks, the South Euclid Dog Park is an open regional amenity and enjoyed by residents of many neighboring cities including Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Euclid, and Richmond Heights.

The South Euclid Dog Park was founded by elected stakeholders and volunteers who formed the advocacy group, South Euclid Friends of the Ideal Dog-park Off-leash (F.I.D.O.), which became a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2011. With minimal financial support from the municipality, the group commendably organized various fundraisers and capital campaigns to improve the dog park for nearly a decade. F.I.D.O. hosted social events for patrons and conducted quarterly meetings to garner feedback and plan strategically for improvements. The organization disbanded in 2016, turning its assets over to the community development corporation, One South Euclid.
